Summary of the travel insurance benefits students in the scope of their studies in the United Kingdom:

It is valid WORLDWIDE: while staying in the UK, should a student / traveller decide to go to Germany for a couple of days for example, s/he remains covered with AVI International.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Alarm center:

In case of emergency, the insureds have to call ACE European Group Ltd and their dedicated alarm center which is now International SOS based in Paris and is reachable 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The emergency phone number is +33-1-55-63-33-34.(collect-calls are accepted).

It takes care of all assistance formalities (hospitalisation, medical evacuation, air tickets arrangements, ambulance transportation....)

In such cases, the alarm center will directly deal with the hospital to monitor and handle the case.

For a minor complaint shuch as flue, we recommend the student to visit a doctor of his choice, pay for the medical services rendered and claims for reimbursement with AVI International Paris, by sending the duly completed claim form along with all the medical paperwork.

If the file is complete, it takes 2 or 3 weeks to get reimbursement.

The policy number as well as the emergency phone number will be noted on the ID card the student will receive in a PDF formated file once they have booked and paid for the insurance.

Costs: AVI Insurance is unbelievable value at only €50 per month.
